Our Palm Desert properties are located in country club communities. All are fully furnished – privately owned properties and are leased as vacation rentals on a “monthly” basis. The Southern California desert area offers a multitude of activities ranging from dining, golf, tennis, biking, hiking, equestrian, swimming, casinos, theatre, museums, hot air ballooning, polo, and shopping. Shopping includes: El Paseo Shopping District (referred to the Rodeo Drive of the Desert) and Cabazon Outlet Mall. It is also the home of the Bob Hope Chrysler Golf Classic, Frank Sinatra Celebrity Invitational, Kraft Nabisco Championship (LPGA), BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament, Desert Cities Horse Show, La Quinta Arts Festival, Coachella Valley Music Festival, and so much more. The desert area is a great place for snowbirds as it offers 350 days of sunshine, and warm weather. Airports that service the desert area include Palm Springs International Airport (which is approximately 15 miles to the Palm Desert area), and Ontario International Airport (which is approximately 70 miles to the Palm Desert area). If you want to venture out of the desert it is just a two-hour drive to Los Angeles or San Diego. Gran Pacifica Beach & Golf Resort in Nicaragua is situated on 2500 pristine acres, with 3.5 miles of gorgeous Pacific Ocean coastline. Nicaragua’s warm, semi-arid climate creates a Southern California feel and provides the perfect weather for year round activities. Depending on the swell, San Diego Beach is suitable for all levels of surfing. Forbes Magazine calls Nicaragua “great for surfing”. World champion surfers say Nicaragua’s “waves are in the same league as Bali”. If you are seeking to catch the perfect wave break, in an undiscovered private Pacific beach setting far from crowds, Gran Pacifica/Nicaragua is your destination. Snorkeling - Be sure to bring your snorkel gear! The natural features of Las Perlas beach create a protected tidal pool that offers an amazing glimpse of the undersea world. Your best opportunities for snorkeling here are the hours around low tide. Check with La Vida Nica for a tide chart during your stay. The tide pool is also a great place for swimmers. With a sandy bottom that tapers very gradually and no undertow, it’s a great place for sunbathing and swimming. Horseback Riding - You can explore the beautiful beach and grounds at Gran Pacifica on horseback! There are several paths to choose from, offering beach or mountain views. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced equestrian, you will be matched with a horse for a fun and enjoyable ride. This is a great activity the whole family can enjoy together.
