GOLF
The first nine holes, The Emerald Course, of the magnificent Pacifica Golf Club is ready for play. The course can be played as thirteen different holes during an 18-hole round of golf, using different tees and alternate fairways on the first two and last two holes. The Emerald 9 Course features the Diablo tees 7133 yards; the Maestro tees 6883 yards; the Hombre tees 6494 yards; the Rosa (forward tees) 5358 yards; each a par 74.
A complete game improvement facility with practice greens, bunkers, short game area and range is available to sharpen your golf skills. The adjacent clubhouse offers a fully stocked pro shop, club and cart rentals combined with a restaurant and bar. Pacifica Golf Club offers everything you need to guarantee the perfect golf experience.
There will be two more 9-hole courses: The Ruby 9 with a projected opening date early 2012 and The Sapphire 9 with a projected opening date early 2014 according to Tommy Haugen, Golf Course Architect and President of Pacifica Golf Club.
The Emerald Course – originates from the Clubhouse as all 3 nines do. The first hole of the Emerald Course plays through mature trees with a creek on the right. On the second, the driving area is forgiving on this lengthy par 4 and a pond back and right guards an exciting green. Number 3 proceeds to the ocean while crossing beautiful water hazards. The fourth is a hole a golfer will have to experience - the Pacifica Golf Club Logo is derived from this par 3. The par 4 fifth plays back across the estuary and to the river which also creates an impressive feature for #6 and the par 3 7th. The 8th again takes advantage of a large ponding area and the home hole #9 narrows the driving area the further you hit it. Its then a precise 2nd shot to an exciting green.
Golf on the gorgeous courses of Pacifica Golf Club is an experience not to be missed. Contact La Vida Nica for assistance or call the clubhouse directly at 011 (505) 8739-2225.

GOLF SCHOOLS AT PACIFICA GOLF CLUB
The purpose of the Golf Schools designed by Boyd Williams for Pacifica Golf Club in Nicaragua is to create an enjoyable golf experience, teaching concepts which are fundamentally sound, resulting in a more consistent golf game.
Pacifica Golf will accomplish this objective by teaching you to feel your swing. All motions associated with golf are swings. In order to repeat your swing with consistency you will learn the feel of your swing.
Golf School will teach a natural progression in terms of developing your own individual swing, which will be reinforced with specific and fun drills related to consistency.
Pacifica Golf offers two and three day schools at Pacifica Golf Club to accommodate your schedules and golf related objectives. Because of our personal commitment to you and improving your golf game, each school is limited to two golfers per school in order to maximize individual attention.
Pacifica Golf is so confident in its teaching ability, that if you are not satisfied with your progress Pacifica Golf will reimburse your golf school teaching expense.
Your overall experience with beautiful Gran Pacifica Beach Resort & Golf Club will be a memorable one. From the Beautiful Tommy Haugen designed golf course and practice facilities, to Pacific Oceanfront accommodations, wonderful food and beverage services; Gran Pacifica looks forward to your arrival.

SURFING
Just imagine yourself…viewing a sunset, walking on the beach, enjoying ocean motion, surfing; having a moment to relax and think of innovative ideas and future projects.
Nicaragua offers relaxing environments where you can enjoy nature and discover amazing waves. In our south beaches on the Pacific, the great Lake Cocibolca creates special offshore winds that give waves an outstanding consistency and quality for surfing.
The main swell season is from March until November, but San Diego Beach is one of the most consistent surf breaks of Nicaragua, and regardless of the swell there is always a wave to surf.
Depending on the swell, San Diego Beach is suitable for all levels of surfing.
Forbes Magazine calls Nicaragua “great for surfing”. World champion surfers say Nicaragua’s “waves are in the same league as Bali”.
At the southern end of Las Perlas property is a surfer’s haven. Considered one of the best surf locations in Nicaragua, the area is un-crowded and the surfing has been described as “world class”. In fact, the wave was featured on the front page of Surfing Magazine in February of 2012! “Hemorrhoids,” as the wave has been named, is a hollow, super fast left point breaking over a shallow reef that works well on a high tide. On a big swell, you better bring you’re “A” game, as it is absolutely incredible!
Just five minutes north of the condos is the Asuchillo beach break, which has a number of A frame peaks that you can choose from. Asuchillo works with swell, pumping out beautiful almond shaped barrels. This break is fun for all surfing abilities, experienced and/or beginners. We also benefit from over 330 days of offshore winds created by Nicaragua’s lakes.
If you are seeking to catch the perfect wave break, in an undiscovered private Pacific beach setting far from crowds, before the rest of the surfing world finally catches on, Gran Pacifica/Nicaragua is your destination.

SNORKELING
Be sure to bring your snorkel gear! The natural features of Las Perlas beach create a protected tidal pool that offers an amazing glimpse of the undersea world. Your best opportunities for snorkeling here are the hours around low tide. La Vida Nica concierge has a tide chart so you will have your best snorkeling experience.
The tide pool is also a great place for swimmers. With a sandy bottom that tapers very gradually and no undertow, it’s a great place for sunbathing and swimming.
