Woodhaven is a beautiful, serene, guard-gated community that boasts an 18-hole golf course, a 34,000 square foot clubhouse with dining room, snack bar, pro shop, exercise room, and men's and women's locker rooms. A Round at Woodhaven is a True Walk in the Park

Woodhaven Country Club offers a fun and playable round on tree-lined fairways with incredible views of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountains.

Now under new ownership, this par-70 course, built about 25 years ago, is being treated with new care and attention. As a result, the fairways have been given new life and beauty and have become an even more outstanding playing round than ever.

We are enlarging the tee boxes to create a better first-shot experience. We have upgraded the irrigation system and improved the quality of the turf. We're also improving the drainage and adding new sand to our bunkers. Beautiful new landscaping has been installed on our course and around the clubhouse.

Ours is a player-friendly course that leaves you energized and excited about your game after your 18 holes. Players of many skill levels and ages love to take on Woodhaven. This is a semi-private club that does allow public play with three-day advance tee times.

You can get off to an easy start here on No. 1, a par-4, playing at 361 yards from the back and 341 from the front. This hole offers a straight-forward layout, but watch out for the bunkers to the left and right as well as around the green.

The 5th hole is an interesting and short par-4, measuring 263 yards from the back and 244 from the front. The narrow fairway may look tempting, but be careful.

“A lot of big hitters would like to drive this hole,” said Rick Reed, Woodhaven's director of golf, “but it has large trees on the left and a long lake on the right. So it's easy to push your ball into the water or pull it into the trees.”

Our signature hole is the photogenic No. 6, a par-3, measuring 165 yards from the back and 118 yards from the forward tees, that is all carry over water.

“It's a beautiful hole with a big fountain in the middle of a pond,” said Reed. “Sometimes the water can obscure your view of the pin.”

The 17th also offers possible water trouble. It's one of the two par-5s on the course and plays at 500 yards from the back and 460 yards from the front. Accuracy is important here.

“You need to stay in the middle of the fairway,” Reed said. “It's easy to go left into the water. But it's also possible to reach the green in two, but you'll have to go over the water on your second shot.”

Accelerate Your Tennis at Woodhaven

Eight blue, tennis courts (four lit) utilizing the same surface as the courts at the Professional Pacific Life Open in Indian Wells are available for all tennis club members and guests.

The club offers morning game arranging, tournaments and special events, all provided in a fun and social environment. In addition there is a full service pro shop offering racquet sales, stringing and rentals. Annual, seasonal and monthly tennis memberships are available. Ask us about our unique, economy conscious Clinic Club. If you have the time, your game will improve for a very reasonable cost.

Unique lessons and clinics are provided by our tennis professional, Leif Nordlund of Accelerated Tennis. Leif has over 20 years of teaching experience and teaches tennis using an open skill approach, dramatically changing the perspective and outlook of the game of tennis. Leif has achieved a USPTA (Professional One) certified teaching level and thoroughly enjoys teaching all levels and ages.

Leif is keeping the juniors busy too and is offering a high performance junior program all year round.

Woodhaven also has two racquetball courts in the main clubhouse.
